Inspired by the shores of Mauritius.

This piece draws from the many tones and textures found along the beach, soft layers of sand, the subtle colours of shells, and the natural rhythm of the shoreline. I collected sand from Mauritius itself and blended it into my medium, allowing the place to quite literally become part of the artwork.

Created for a couple who got engaged in Mauritius, a place that holds a deep space in their hearts. This painting carries a fragment of that memory, something felt, held, and preserved on canvas.
