36 x 48
Acrylic on Canvas
This piece explores the contrast between order and chaos, inspired by life in a modern city where nature and structure coexist. Each square acts as a window—echoing the illuminated skyscraper grids that light up the sky from my apartment high above Singapore. But within each frame lies something far more organic: layered textures of thick acrylic, wild brushstrokes, and unexpected moments of colour that evoke moss, leaves, coral, and the vibrant unpredictability of the natural world.
There’s a sense of viewing the earth from above, as though you’re a bird gliding over patchworked fields, or a mind wandering through a city that insists on building gardens into its walls. It’s both natural and man-made, wild and restrained. A study in balance, and the beauty that blooms within it.
